The 3040 has a USB port which makes downloading to a computer a snap. I'm not sure about the C3000. The lenses on these cameras, and virtually all the other competing cameras are only sharp over the middle portion of the format. Toward the edges they all suffer from severe (in my opinion) lateral chromatic aberration. I have the C3040, and use it for snapshots and the occasional Lunar/planetary. I prefer my 6x7 Pentax for sharp terrestial shots.
