Thanks and yes, I use a separate guidescope (as with all my
images) with the STV guider.
As with film, the more you stack, the less the noise. Having
many images stacked in Ha allows much more aggressive processing
without bringing up the noise to a noticeable level. Actually the right
side of my DB111 image has half the exposure time of the center.
While you can't see it in the web size image, the additional noise
can be seen in the full size image.
