[APML] Re: Off-Axis Guiders
Marios, I'm a rank beginner at AP, but I've been using the Taurus Tracker
III for several months and am very happy with it. I use it on a 10" SCT. The
two separate viewports, one for centering and focusing the camera, and the
other for the autoguider, are very handy. Each viewport is threaded into the
main body of the OAG. By rotating the viewports, you can set them for
optimum focus, which makes focusing thereafter much easier. The OAG and the
camera can be rotated separately to allow you to frame your image as you
please.
I have no experience with the Lumicon OAG.
