In this country (USA), this is called "bidness" :-) These "hardball" tactics
are commonplace in the computer, chip fabrication  and software industries.
Most glaring example--Zerox developed the GUI, then had it "borrowed" by
Apple, who then had it "borrowed" by Microsoft who, after many vicious
lawsuits back and forth and with some very aggressive marketing, has emerged
the most valuable corporation on the planet.
