Re: [APML] Scutum Star Cloud (Dave Dockery)

Dave,

Thanks!  And thank you very much for the link to AutoStitch.  I downloaded it and tested it on some images.  They weren't matching and the Comet Machholz Mosaic used EC 200 +1 on the right hand shot instead of Provia 400F +1 that was used on the 2 shots for the left.  But for an experiment to see how it worked I'm impressed (especially for free!).  Now to just get some widefield shots with even backgrounds and see what I can do with them.  Thanks again!

Hi Gary,

I enjoyed your shot, too.  Speaking of mosaics, you might want to give AutoStitch a try.  There's a free demo out that's simple to use and pretty powerful.

Thanks for the feedback on the TSP shot,
Dave

Thanks to everyone who responded!

Wade- Thank you!  Feb 9th?  Wow, you must be chomping at the bit.

Brian- Thanks!  Yes, I like the 105 too.

John- Thank you!  Yes, North is towards the bottom left.  The bright gold colored star in the center is Beta
Scutum and the small cluster 1/3 way up on the left edge is Alya in Serpens Cauda.

Wei-Hao- Thank you very much!  Yes, I'd love to do some mosaics but I don't have Registar yet (but hope to
soon) and have found it very difficult to do using just PS.

Stuart-  Thank you!  I love my GM-8.  I usually do a 15 min. drift align for both alt. and azimuth and have had
good luck so far.  I tried a 30 min. but it was off a little.

Nicola-  Thanks you, I appreciate it!
