RE: [APML] Bright Meteor Over West TX

I was with Dave at TSP.  Steve Smith of El Paso and I both observed a meteor which appeared to dim and brighten multiple times.  We both commented on the apparent multiple flashes.  I don't remember the exact date and time, but do remember it being towards the north and both of us saying to each other "Sweet...Did you see that?".  This was one of many meteors observed last week at TSP.

I was there and seem to recall a bright skimmer around that time. We also had our share of clouds, though.  As a matter of fact, I think I captured another bright meteor on the previous night.  If I got anything interesting, I'll post it after I get the film processed.

Did anyone on this list, or at the Texas Star Party monitoring this list observe a very bright meteor with multiple flashes over West Texas on 5/6 at 22:19 MDT ? The event was obscured by clouds from here and still flashed at a -7.4 visual magnitude.

Brightest flash occured at AZ 118.1 at an EL of 3.0 from this location which could put this event very close to (maybe just N of) the Davis Mountains.
