Ouch. I knew the ST-4 pixels weren't square but I thought they were only 
slightly larger than those of the STV.

I will say this: I have to think that a 60 mm f/10 guidescope (assuming you 
use a 2x barlow) has the potential to guide for you with no trouble at all. 
Keep in mind, of course, that when you add extra elements, you add to the 
possibility of differential flexure.
