Until I saw the Apple displays a couple years ago I was unimpressed 
with any LCD monitor. The overall quality seems to have improved quite 
a bit and the high end models are quite good. I purchased an 
inexpensive Sony 17" LCD ($290) for my other computer and even that one 
is better than the Sony 17 seII that it replaced but doesn't come close 
to the 2405FPW.

I have mine running on the DVI output.

Then you should take a look at the 2405FPW. I don't think you'll be 
disappointed.
