Hi,
I also notice that on some (not all) LCD monitors, some CRT OK images
look noisy. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that these LCDs
are "better" than CRTs. Perhaps they just stretch the curve in the
shadow so noise becomes more apparent. Or perhaps their black
point is not black enough so the noisy part of the image gets closer to
the mid-tone and is picked up by our eyes. I don't have an answer for
this yet.
On the other hand, it is true that LCDs with digital output from the video
card are much sharper than most of the CRTs.
Apple's new LCD monitors are killers. I plan to get one for myself.
Just some of my random thoughts.
