RE: [APML] Ilford B&W film + H-Alpha filter

Phil,
I've used XP2. It is not what you want to use with an H-alpha filter. Its
not a bad film however for other items.

Subject: [APML] Ilford B&W film + H-Alpha filter

I have heard that there is an Ilford film capable of producing images
similar to hypered Tech Pan when used with an H-Alpha filter. I have also
heard differing opinions on which of the Ilford 400 speed B&W films it is.
Looking at the spectral sensitivity charts for the following three films, it
appears that the Delta 400 has the best 650nm+ sensitivity:

- Delta 400
- XP2 Super 400 (C41 processing)
- HP5 Plus

Anyone have experience with any of these? At TSP, I did try the XP2 (pushed
to 800) with a borrowed Lumicon H-Alpha filter (thx Jay) on the Lagoon for
60 minutes at f/5.9 and nothing showed up on the film.

-Phil
