 hey Jim...

"Hollywood" has already explored the digital realm... and decided it's best left for FX... 35mm hi-speed film is still their medium of choice... for the time being, anywho. Kodak is probably 'happy'... but had little to say in any event.

What you, and most others reading this, may not realize... is the simple fact that the majority of the World's population do not own a computer. Yup... I'm talking about under-developed, 'Third World' countries in these population statistics... not the 'techies' whom follow this, and other advanced lists!

It's basic, 'General Business 101'... 'Supply & Demand'... as long as there is a demand, there will be a supply. When there is a lag in demand, available supplies will increase in price. When demand evaporates, supplies become scarce and explode in price -- but can remain available indefinitely.

There are plenty of Folks around the World who love single use, disposable cameras... not to mention 'Developed' Nations, which still have high demands for 35mm and 120/220 formats.

While Kodak has dropped it's 'Advanced Photo System' in the US... Kodak has also heightened it's 'Disposables' in the remainder of it's 'Global Market'... and added some new films in it's Foreign markets for 35mm and 120/220... just not in the US or it's subsidiaries.

In the USA, it's all about the latest and greatest... the fastest and most efficient... 'Keepin' Up With The Joneses'... this attitude eventually catches fire around the World... but doesn't necessarily burn in everywhere it goes.

Keepin' up with 'The Joneses' is tough !!! Film ain't dead... yet !!!

To paraphrase 'Mark Twain' (aka 'Samuel Clemens')...

"The reports of (film's) demise, have been greatly exaggerated !!!"
