[APML] RE: Hasselblad system
Jeff,
I've been using my old Hasselblad system for wide field work and have
been getting great results.
Here is a link:

The upside, as others have said, is that old lenses and bodies are as
cheap as they ever will be (check E-Bay). The lenses are very sharp.
However, they are an expensive problem to hook up to, say, a nice
apochromatic refractor.
While the shutters are contained in the lenses of the old Hasselblad 500
systems, you CAN use the bodies without the lenses.
The bodies have a shutter curtain, which open and close in bulb or time
exposure mode. This is completely adequate for time exposures. The
problem is finding a 2-inch or 2.7 inch adaptor for telescope. They
simply are not made, as far as I can tell. Lumicon sells something, but
it will set you back $400.
If you are not already invested in the Hasselblad system, the Pentax 6x7
seems to be the standard out there.

Anyone doing astrophotography with a hasselblad setup?
I'm considering it... Any suggestions?
I'm thinking piggyback. However, prime focus
with the FSQ is a possibility. The downside
is the Tak->hasselblad adapter is very pricey.
thanks for any info
jeff
