RE: [APML] OT: First light Starfire 180EDT and a Pentax 6x7 quest ion

I have the Mitsuboshi version of the vacuum back camera.  It uses a 6x9 Horseman vacuum back.  The Mitsuboshi also comes with a matched knife edge focuser for the camera.  The camera is sold by Ted Ishikawa at Hutech.  I used it with the Tak E210.  I opted for the Mitsubishi over the version offered by Takahashi because I believe it is a better system with the knife edge focuser and the scope adapters are more reasonably priced than the Takahashi adapters.  The camera can be used with any scope with the appropriate adapter and Mitsuboshi makes an excellent OAG for the camera if you need it.  I have used the camera twice, it is in excellent shape.  If anyone is interested in buying it, contact me at kcarbo@lobosservices.com.

Richard;

"Can anyone suggest which Pentax body I should buy if I am trying to do this on the cheap?"  Have you considered just using a Pentax Film Back only instead of the entire camera body?  Much less expensive and a lighter setup.  I've seen them out there, I don't have links but the most recent I saw was designed for Tac telescopes...joe  :)
