[APML] Comet NEAT and Beehive Cluster - need advice on processing

Here is a 7.5 minute exposure on unpushed Provia 400 taken through a 105mm
lens at f/2.8. I attempted to scan this with my new film scanner, but I am
getting some sort of haze in the middle of the pic. Notice to the right of
the comet, it is nice and dark.
