A quick followup--I did try shooting with and without the IDAS filter, but
it was done on 2 different nights and at different elevations above the
horizon.
Combined with what I'd call a rather dismal response of the Fuji NPH400,
it's
really hard to say there was any benefit from the IDAS filter.
