Generally, I'm in the range of A1s and A2s. Although last time out I
started at A3s-A5s. It did settle down later to the normal range. Is
this by any chance related to Bill's problems? If so, I've suggested he
try the Gemnini users group. Someone there may have the help he needs.

Alan:
It is, infact Bill's problem.
I was over at his place last night and we tried both an ST-4 and my STV, with the same results.
His Gemini is brand new, Level 3.
The symptoms give me the impression that the 0.8x (sideral) guiding rate in DEC is not fast enough to make the corrections. The G-11 with stepper drives worked best at 2x (sideral).
It can sometimes be calibrated and will begin to track, but the DEC corrections will slowly rise until an error is recorded. At other times, the RA calibration is Ok but will fail in DEC.
