It isn't too hard to guide on the comet. It has a bright, star-like nucleus.
You can also take short sidereal rate images and layer them together. I used
both techniques for this image with a Nikon 500f/4 lens. Layered 120 sec.
exposures. The only difference is this is a Nikon D70 digital SLR camera :(
but the results are the same as film

How hard is it to guide on the comet nucleus? I have a similar guide setup
but didn't have the nerve to try that.
