Yep. Slide film tends to oversaturate the emulsion especially on really
bright stars over long exposures leaving them round while balls. I have
lots of examples of this on my site as I've been using mostly slide film
over the last couple of years. It's a matter of aesthetics but I alway like
tighter stars that look more natural.
