RE: [APML] Objects to photograph next week at TSP
Phillip:
You're going to love the skies at TSP. Last year was my first time as the
party and I thought the skies were incredibly dark. There is literally an
unlimited number of things to photograph. My main target this year will be
M51. Another things that will stand out is the Milkway. It is so bright
that it appears to cast shadows on the ground. I'd also recommend that you
take some time to view dark nebula. The dark skies in TX make it
relatively easy to see them. I'm going to try to photograph some just to
see how they come out.
I'll be on the upper field with a group from my club in New Orleans. Feel
free to swing by and say hi.

Other than the comet and the objects in the Sagittarius region, what
objects
do you recommend I attempt to photograph at the Texas Star Party? This will
my first time to attend TSP with an autoguider, so I can now image objects
beyond what was a 30 minute manual guiding mental capacity. I have a 5" APO
refractor at f/8, and also have an f/5.9 focal reducer. I will *not* be
using hypered film. I use Provia 400 and Supra 400.
Thanks in advance.
