Yes I've done this too, and it works pretty good. This is how I normally
give presentations. First I make them in Powerpoint, and photograph the
monitor using 35 mm slide film.
But sometimes I want to make transparencies, and I can't figure out how to
do it. I know that many professional ad displays (like you would see at an
airport) are backlit, and are printed on large inkjet printers, so I know it
can be done. I suspect there is some magic transformation you can do in
PhotoShop to fool the printer, but I haven't the foggiest what it would be.
