For the past few years, I've been volunteering up there for the summer visitor program.
That picture was taken at a rare moment..
It was night, red lights on, dome open, but also the white light was on.
I posted a better picture (url below) but they didnt use it...

I tell ya.. volunteering up there is great fun. Especially the
position where you get to usher folks into the big dome. At mars
opposition, I spent about an hour doing the eyepiece narration
on the 40". This year, I'm signed up to setup outside on the
amatuer telescope row.
