RE: [APML] OT: My imaging trip to Chile

Chris,

It is right in the middle of a valley. I was concerned about winds when I
got there. I got there at about 2pm and it was quite windy. But by evening,
all the wind died down. This happened every night for almost two weeks.

The temperature was toasty when I arrived. It was like San Diego in the
summer. Warm to hot in the day but cool at night. I think the nighttime
temps were close to 40F-45F during this period. However after several days
of imaging, a storm came thru and brought snow several hundred feet above
me. The snow you see in the mountains in the pictures were not there when I
arrived. After the storm passed thru, it was quite a bit cooler. I think it
was about 55F in the day and dropped below freezing on some nights in the
early morning periods. There was frost on my cases for some mornings. I was
glad I brought my dew removers.

This place is great to bring the family. They have horse back riding and
trout fishing. Not seen in the picture, behind my cabin is a stream. It
fact, you get to hear the stream all the time from my cabin. The caretaker
comes over to your cabin and prepares 3 meals in front of you. She is quite
a cook, I must say.

Loke
