It's unlikely Comet NEAT will reach those projected values. The latest
observations as of 4/28 indicate it to be around magnitude 4.0 which is
more the 2 magnitudes dimmer than the what the older ephemerides are
projecting. In fact, the latest prediction is it should reach a peak
around magnitude 3. We can always hope it will flare up, but this is
unlikely given its distance from the Sun. Despite the "bad" news,
although typical for a first time comet, it should still put on a nice
show, especially from a binoculars and photographic standpoint.
