I'm assuming you're talking about the Ash-Lurie?
Yes, the overall design is ingenious.
I especially. like the micrometer focusing mechanism.
The ASh-Lurie, without rings or film holders, is about 6100 Euros.
And yes, the oversized primary is like the Classical Schmidt's.
It's too bad that Celestron chose to have the mirror and corrector almost the
same size..........but you know, you can mask down the corrector to improve
field illumination.
