Chris and Stan - thanks for the kind words! The cloud cover really 
helped. Thankfully there was a gentle breeze at the cloud level so I was 
able to anticipate the opportunity.

Also, I have realized that I need a 24mm lens instead of a 28mm for my 
daytime camera (Minolta X700). The 28mm lens is fine for sun dogs but 
not for halos.Clipping the halo on the short dimension of the film.

Stuart, a great shot.  I usually am forced to use my fist or a street 
light to block the sun, the clouds did a nice job for you here.
