Re: [APML] M35 (exposure times)

 Thanks Bert !!!

The Fuji SHQ was *un-hypered*... still haven't put together that hyper kit
we once talked about. The distance and dimensions of ngc7000 were quoted from
skyAtlas 2000 Companion, second edition, page 210. The distance of a single
light year (5.88 trillion miles) came from a college level 'Astronomy 101'
text... 'Discovering The Universe' third edition, by William J. Kaufmann.
Assuming the above is correct, N.A. Nebula extends 352.8 *trillion* miles
across!

The college text book was a gift from Chris Depree, physics and astronomy
professor at Atlanta's Agnes Scott College... and co-author of 'Astronomy for
Dummies'! The observatory there got a complete remodel a few years ago... new
planetarium and all... the book was a pre-repair house cleaning gift. It was a
sample sent from the publisher, complete with CDrom and instructors guide...
and has been an invaluable source of inspiration and understanding for me...
even though Chris decided not to use it in his class!
