Mike,

Many of these losers harvest email addresses off people's personal 
web pages.  I noticed that your web page has your email address in 
plain-text on the front page.  You should use something like a 
clickable button (with obfuscated javascript underneath) instead of 
a simple hypertext link.  That way it is practically impossible for 
the crawlers and bots to decipher your email address even if they do 
find your page.

Unfortunately, you are probably already in numerous spam databases 
and it is kind of hard to get out of them once you are in.

I second your recommendation of Spampal.  I've used it for six months 
and find that it catches 99% of the spam I get (about 10-15 msgs a day).
It also supports additional plugins that allow you to do an incredible 
amount of customization (using regexp filters) if you find the need.
