Hi All,
While we are on the subject, you don't need to use the © symbol for a
copyright to attach to your works created after March 1, 1989. For works
created before March 1989, the © symbol was required for protection to
attach. All you need now is to create an original work of authorship in
any tangible medium of expression, i.e. an astrophoto, and you have a
copyrighted work. With few exceptions, you will have a copyright on the
photos you take today [or since March 1989] for your life plus and
additional 70 years.
That being said, I use the © on my web pages to warn people that I will
protect my copyright.
