Alan,
          I didn't have the crop set exactly to what I believe the copy cat
did, so I had to stretch the photo a little to match his photo's size. What
I wanted to do is to see if I could duplicate the color and and the detail
he did. I was pretty close and it only took me a matter of minutes. I have a
12" LX200 and even with the GEG  set at it's shortest focal reduction, there
is no way could I produce this type of photo. My opinion is, this is Jerry's
photo. As Tara's has said, we'll let Jerry make the final decision.
        I guess what upsets me the most is, I have spent many hours learning
how to take deep-sky photos and know that I am not even close to the likes
of Jerry, Robert Gendler, etc..but am willing to work to get to that point.
To have someone take a photo from someone else and use it as his own makes
me ill. I will say this though, the guy may not be the brightest star in the
sky, seeing how he took one of the most acclaimed photo's to use as his own.
Way too many folks know this photo and know who it belongs to.
