Damn the torpedos... full speed ahaed! Here is a forward of what I just posted:

------------------------------forwarded message---------------------------------

Mr Zang...

If that's even your real name... 'your' image is plagiarized... here's the
original: see ------------------------------------------>

http://www.astropix.com/HTML/SHOWCASE/M31.HTM

... as an avid astronomical photographer I can say with certainty that your
description of 'image acquisition' is as full of holes as a brick of Swiss
cheese. Most notably, the field of view of an 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain... with the
f6.3 focal reducer, which you didn't mention... is 1.14 X 1.71 degrees on a
35mm film frame. M 31 spans a field covering 3.2 X 1.0 degrees... it doesn't
fit, even with a focal reducer! And don't try to mention 'medium format' with a
Schmidt... they don't illuminate 35mm very well... spherical abberations, coma,
vignetting.

I could go on about the AE-1's battery operated shutter, the futility of
hypering chrome films and doing 1+ hour exposures on 'precision' Meade
mounts... but take a look at my best effort to date of this target... exposure
and processing info can be viewed on my web-page, here:
http://home.att.net/~astropix/M_31.html ... I've also attached a JPEG of my
shot, done at 512mm focal length... not the 1200mm of an 8" SCT !!!

Crow is a dish that's best served cold... he'll be waiting a *long* time before
I utter an apology... if ever !!!
