My comparison shows that if these are two different images they sure had
their camera orientations within a few arc seconds. 

Almost funny, if it wasn't so sad.  I wonder where the rest of his
portfolio came from.

You know what is amazing?  Many say "why bother shooting astophotos when
I
can just buy them in a book?"  I think this example indicates the value
of
the uniqueness that each photographer brings to the object.  Many of us
knew
immediately the artist that brought this particular M31 to life.  There
is
no generic photograph of an astronomical object.  That is a good thing.
Keep shootin out there folks!
