[APML] Tech Pan Developing Q

Hi,

I was talking to a photographer about storm chasing photography using BW
film and she said something that I thought might be interesting for
some....here is a snip from her response to some gweneral questions:

<snip>

Another good option for increasing contrast without increasing grain size of
the negative would be to selenium tone the negative (a type of
intensification) in a 1:3 dilution of Kodak Selenium toner and water, for
about 5 minutes, after complete fixing. Wash thoroughly after this. Keep in
mind that most of the contrast increase will be in the mid-tones through
highlights, so you want to make sure your cloud mass is exposed bright
enough on the film.

<end snip>

Ok..
So has anyone tried this or thought of this?
Any thoughts to how this might add or degrate to tech pan astrophotos?

Brian
