You should check out La Verendrye Parc, the skies are pitch black and in
early september there are no mosquitos.
The Ottawa Area Observers Group has a location up there on an old runway
near De Domaine inside the park.

ps: The Zenit lens looks like it was a good deal. I can remember selling
the Zenit E camera back in the early 70's. Built like a tank.
