I second that! I remember an article in old "DeepSky" magazine on 200
galaxies in and around the bowl of the dipper. There are many cool galaxies
in this part of the sky, many of them spiral or irregular. Anyway, my
attempt at NGC5005 is at http://members.shaw.ca/spampit/ngc5005.htm for
anyone who wants to see how an 8" Newtonian with tech pan stacks up to Rob's
image..... (don't hold your breath!)

Thanks. Canes Venatici and Ursa Major are so rich in NGC galaxies
you could spend years imaging them all <G>.
