Nice one Rob,
    5005 isn't all that big, pretty good results! I guess the seeing wasn't
all that steady when you took the image. I have a shot from 1993 but I am
not going to post it after seeing yours! Needless to say my shot is pretty
much the same, except that all the detail is missing and so is the colour.
:-) You might want to check out NGC5033 right next door. It's a nice open
spiral, bigger but fainter than 5005. If I get a bit of time this evening, I
will post a shot showing both.
    Your conditions are much better than mine - with any luck the snow will
stop on Wednesday.....
