Hey Matt... see my eariler post, and give the Freesurfer a try. It blocks
about 99% of unwanted pop-ups, and passes about 99% of needed ones (including
eBay)... using IE as your browser. Your results may vary, but you can try it
here: http://www.kolumbus.fi/eero.muhonen/FS/Support.htm (it's freeware)

I also employ SpyBot, AdAware, Sygate Personal Firewall, and AVG anti-virus in
addition to the Freesurfer program... these are *all* freeware !!! I do all my
e-mail online using AT&T's Mailcenter, which has Norton's AV installed at the
server for each individual account. I never download e-mails, but open them in
a browser window. This service also has 'Brightmail' spam blocker, which works
very well with a little interaction from the user. I don't think any of the
freeware spam blockers work unless you load your e-mail onto the machine using
Outlook, Eudora etc. I'm glad the online Brightmail feature works as well as it
does!

... and some folks still don't understand why some of us get alarmed when we
see that little paper clip icon...

 Best...
