I have an old Nikon F4.5 non-AI lens (circa 1967) that is quite sharp
wide open. not apo though, but a minus violet filter seems to take care
of that problem ok. it does vignette wide open, but photoshop or picture
window techniques take care of that. you can pick up these lenses
@350-400 dollars US.
