RE: [APML] SCANNERS

Leroi
These are all flatbed scanners with attachments for slides. They are not
well suited for astrophotography. They have low dynamic range, typically 3.2
or less. Current dedicated film scanners are in the 4.0 area which is very
important for astro slides. Here are specs on the 1640/50

Subject: [APML] SCANNERS

Hello, can you help me.
I hesitate between
- Canon D2400 UF (2400x4800ddp)
- Epson 1640 photo (1600x3200)
- Epson 2450 photo (1600x3200)
-and maybe the HP Scanjet 7400C (2400x2400) (more expensive than the
others).

I want to scann 24x36 and 6x7 slides.
Thanks
LEROI Teiva
