Re: [APML] US Amateur Observatory locations???

Greetings fellow APMLers! This is my first 'official'
post here,I suppose...been lurking for a bit...seems
that every question I have gets ask and answered before
I pose it.My questions and *many* others as well!
While not in the Flagstaff area...in fact quite a ways
from it...Jack Newton et. al. is opening another astro-
community in SE AZ...below is a forwarded post from a
club website.I personally have family in this area and a
retired mom who's thinking AZ...this is looking very
attractive to me.There's a link to a website started for
the location...might see some of you there someday!
Best :O)

Subject: Arizona Update

Dear Fellow Astronomers,

Great news! We have officially purchased property in the
Chiricahua
Mountains (Portal, Arizona) for what promises to be a
world-class
astronomical village. Engineering reports are very
favorable for
services, and we are very excited with the excellent
results of our
other site tests and the stunning dark skies!

A new website has been created to keep you apprised of
our progress.
The site is http://ArizonaSkyVillage.Com. Very soon, we
will be
posting a Village plan with properties, roadways, etc.
identified on
it.

Our project manager, Eugene Turner, will be living on-
site within the
next couple of weeks and will continue to be available
by cell phone
at (520) 237-2105.

We look forward to seeing you in beautiful south-eastern
Arizona!

Clear skies,
Jack & Alice Newton
Eugene Turner
