Thanks for the comments.  Yes...I'm finally using the FF.
What a difference.

btw, I forgot to mention the use of Matts' star shaping technique
and Mikes' minimum filter.  Both are invaluable techniques.

Minimum settings:  radius 2, 35% opacity
