[APML] Olympus OM-2 Camera Question

Hi All,

This weekend i used my OM-2n for photography other than astro based stuff.
However i neglected to reset the shutter ring back to a setting other than
'B'
While shooting this past weekend (5 rolls) I had the camera set to AUTO the
whole time. Am i correct to assume that my camera in the AUTO mode would
compensate for my forgetfullness and shoot at the shutter speeds i saw
indicated in the viewfinder meter readout for whatever given f-stop i had
the lenes set to?
