Just got the go-ahead from SWMBO to get a new mount
(yeah!) and I need some advise as to the components I'll need for a Losmandy
G11. Not gonna be able to swing the Gemini system right now, so it'll be
the original stepper-motor version.
I have a Vixen R200SS 8" f/4 reflector and a
StellarVue 80mm f/6 refractor. Would like to piggy-back the 80mm on the
larger scope so I can guide through one whilst imaging through the other.
Will be doing mainly 35mm work with some webcam stuff. I know an 80mm f/6
isn't the greatest to use as a guide scope, but I'll be pressing my luck getting
"ANOTHER telescope ?!?!?!"
I know I need the basic G-11 head and tripod, and a
universal plate to mount the Vixen rings to. I'd assume another DUP plate
and a pair of guidescope rings as well. Any other parts you all can
suggest?
