For the water spotting, get some Kodak Photoflo.  It's a wetting agent that
helps prevent spotting.

If you have clean (filtered) water, and keep a film squeegee clean, a GENTLE
stroke gets rid of the water spots.  (I always used a mild hardening fixer
which may have helped, but many don't like the hardeners.

I've added some new photos to my website of the Planetary alignment.

I also got the chance to try out my Jobo processor.  I used distilled water
with the chemicals, and got spotting on the negatives.  I am afraid to use a
squegie on the film for fear of scratching.  Are there any secrets to
getting clean negatives?  Even with the spots, the negatives are cleaner
than what I was getting from my 1 hour place!
