Re: [APML] Comet/M92 and Gamma Cygni

Thanks Shekhar,

I believe that the spiral ghosting is from the crappy coatings on the objective of my Megrez.  Like I said, the image needs more work but it was late last night and I couldn't work anymore.  I'll probably go through each individual channel and burn out that ghosting later this week.

The color on that gamma cygni shot looks really good.  Almost
tri-color like.  What caused that weird comma-shaped halo around
gamma cygni?

Subject: [APML] Comet/M92 and Gamma Cygni

Despite a series of problems this weekend involving important mount parts left at home on my dresser and dead batteries I managed to get a few decent shots.  I tried some Super HQ 100 and I am happy with the results.  The shot of Gamma Cygni probably needs a bit more work as the color and contrast doesn't seem right.  The comet shots came out nice and it still has a good strong ion tail.  I wish I would've framed them better though, oh well.  Comments welcome.

I managed to get 4 20-min and 1 12-min shots of the comet near M92 and would like to make an animated GIF of those shots.  Anyone know of any free software to do so?
