RE: [APML] New Image of NGC6357



Herm, a great deal of nebulosity in your image, stacking six frames must
have been a registration challenge.  which software did you use for this?

I'm not too happy with this, had to go to extremes (I'm a little
uncomfortable
on the amount of image processing this required) to pull the nebula out of
the
background. Conditions were a bit hazy that day probably due to dust in the
atmosphere.

A stack of 6 20 minute exposures using my 8"f4 newt and hyp PJ400..

BTW, SGNBR did a great job reducing the grain in this image.
