Roland:
Thanks for the advice, it feels good to know that
everyone starts with some disasters. About the dark skies I found one nearby
like 15 min from the city but its not easy when youŽre 16 and tell your mom:
"Hey mom IŽll be back like 3 am, IŽll be in the middle of nowhere". But IŽll try
this weekend because its new moon, hope its not cloudy.
Sincerely
Roberto
Going
to a darker site will definitely help. Good luck in your future
images.
This photo reminds me of my first astrophoto of the Pleiades. I
found an old abandoned farm outside Cleveland where I lived at the time. I
pulled up the drive, set up my tripod, snapped several 30 second shots on
Tri-X film, and then the Sheriff pulled up and said I was trespassing. He
didn't understand what I could be doing with a camera at night since everybody
knows that you can't take pictures in the dark.
