Actually I'm somewhat disappointed with the results of the Chile trip. 
Aside from the CCD problems, I wish I'd brought my air drying tube. I 
probably won't use PPF again, because it's too old now. Provia 400F is the 
ticket for medium format.

AFAIK the Losmandy DCM-2 is the best piggyback bracket for medium format. 
However, it needs to be customized in a number of ways to prevent slippage 
during a 90 minute shot with a medium format camera and lens. I'm modifying 
it now.

The Astro-Physics portable pier is nice, but it has no provisions for 
levelling. A simple portable solution is to use threaded rod and T-handle 
on each leg. I'm doing that now. This will help drift alignment a lot.
