I looked and looked and looked for that comet next to Mercury with my 80mm but wasn't able to spot it.  I thought I saw it a couple times but I couldn't confirm it.

Just in case you missed it, Ive posted last nights images of the close approach of the Planet Mercury and 6th magnitude Comet Utsunomya that was VERY low on the western horizon.  Here is the result:
