That's the whole point! The visual
change is that there are no longer any "gray" areas in your image... everything
has color. It's also interesting to make the RGB sharper with an extreme USM and
the Luminance softer with an extreme GB... combine the two in layers at 100% and
turn each layer off and on in the luminance mode and watch what happens... a
good education to what extent the color data and the "detail" data are seperated
and what each contributes to the final image.
