BTW - I know it may not be too popular to add another globular to the  better than M13  list , but there is a constant debate amongst many Australian amateurs as to which is better Omega Cen or 47 Tucane. The former is broader and has more stars but the latter is brighter and fantastically concentrated. Looking at Tuc 47 with a 20" and a 31 Nagler is one of life's special moments. What did you think when you were down there? I hope you did some visual too.
Hear hear, Monte! I second that vote. 47 Tuc is amazing in its depth and concentration - the sort of thing that you can easily get lost in. It ranks well up there with a wide field image around eta carina through a refractor, or an image of Centaurus-A through a large dob - all with the right Nagler of course!

Matt, did you happen to get a wide field shot of "the emu" on your recent expedition?

Craig.
